I know I have not been exactly updating this page actively. Frankly, I do not think I have added anything to it for over a year now. However, I have been doing some fun stuff. First off, I have been building a MediaServer where I have been throwing LOADS of digital video on. Mostly what most refer to as podcasts, however, they are much better. Higher resolution, quality, and most of them are in HD as well. I have also been actively moving most of my digital media content to this unit, so I do not have to go digging through my collection of hundreds of DVDs to find the movie I want to watch. Makes it so much easier to pull something up when I want to.
In addition to building a MediaServer, I have been working with these little machines called Soekris computers. They are wonderful little machines that use minimal power, and let you build a router, or other small machine that works it's heart out on your network. I myself got one of those net4501 models, and set it up with a wireless MiniPCI card inside, and threw some antennas on the back of it. Now, I can connect to the neighbor's internet, and have it relay the connection to my house. I am thinking I shoul dbe monitoring the connection and comparing with the uptime of our neighbors ...
Yet another thing I have started on is gaming. I know, in the past I have been a really light gamer. Playing a game for a few weeks, generally beating it, and then not playing with it hardley at all after that. Well, I am going to throw out my hard rules against these "pay to play" games, and start up a game that I am enjoying. Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR). I aldo joined a gaming community called REIGN2. I would post the little banners, but this site is supposed to be strictly no images. Maybe I will open up a sub category in the side menu, and throw imagery in there like with some others. However, for now, click the red link and enjoy. Times should be fun.
For anyone who still reads these pages, I hardley update for I still have yet to throw up anything in the way of automation and a back-end system to handle the content and such. I know, sloth is one of the deadly sins, but hey, I'm not dead yet! That, and I have been working on other stuff. Trying to get a internet connectivity monitoring system up that is robust enough that I can rely on it's output, and use it as a fully qualified monitoring system. Here's hoping ...

I found this little article that is quite disturbing that someone who has become famous for being well-to-do and having her bedroom videos released into public can release a Linux flavor. I do not see this as legitamit, nor see that this is going to be something that makes it in the world. More of a small frill in the mix. Is MicroSoft watching what you do? Are they checking in and verifying that you are a Genuine Customer of Windows XP and other goods? As it would appear, if you are doing the MicroSoft thing, and doing like a good boy, you could be sitting on a computer that talks to MicroSoft, right begind your back! Check out this article I found that has more information. Take note on the fact that I am sure MicroSoft knows what your IP is, because that information is just given when communication is made. I am sure you know what this means. MicroSoft could find out your ISP, and ask them who you are, and knock on your door, and ask you to pay for your Windows XP copies you were too lazy to validate, so you just popped the magic key your friend found in that box. Hello! Welcome to my web page! This page is still very under construction. As you can see, there are virtually no features or locations whatsoever. Frankly, this text is about the sum of the site in it's entirety. However, you will notice there is a "MENU" box off to the left, and a "BONUS" box off to the right. Both of these are going to hold wonderful things in the future. The Menu system on the left holding the navigation system to the site, and the Bonus secctor on the right holding more of a quick news flash type update, or random goodies where applicable. That has yet to be determined, but is a must for the site's feng shui. Also, there may be some small, temporary add-ons on that side. This center section, laballed as "Content" at it's current state, will be where news updates, and other information is placed. Nothing in particular, but will be useful. May be a breif informative posting that there is a new article, or a new link to a great new utility, or some other tidbits of information.
So, please, enjoy your stay, and return every now and then, and see if there is any new content. All will be well, and safe, and you should join me in my ventures through the internet, and life. (Most of this text was just to fill in the center section, as you will most likely be able to tell).
